Dear Mr Piesner:
Dear Mr Piesner:
The Board of Selectmen has not as of yet worked out the process for developing the master plan. While the process will include opportunities for the general public to participate through open meetings and a variety of public forums, we first have to establish the process.
It is conceivable that we may schedule some visits to the property for interested members of the public. We would have to get approvals from the State of Connecticut and Tunxis Management as they are ultimately liable for the property until such time as the Town of Newtown closes on it.
When we schedule public visits, they will be publicized so that you and any interested citizens will have the same opportunity to attend. In fact, if you fax us a list of your interested skilled board members, we will notify them directly so that they will not run the risk of missing the newspaper article.
Thank you for your interest.
Sincerely,
Herb Rosenthal
First Selectman
