BRIDGEHAMPTON, Long Island â Get out your suntan lotion, ready your stroller and put on your walking shoes as Cablevisionâs Kids Day at the Hampton Classic returns for the seventh year on Saturday, September 1.
There will be hands-on circus acts with the National Circus Project, entertainment, educational projects, free pony rides, and a chance to learn how to groom a pony and learn all about the special contributions made by Companion Dogs. Add to that face painting, balloon sculpting and Alcazar the Magician and youâve got one heck of a day.
Cablevisionâs Kids Day will take place at the World of the Horse Tent and Pony Ride area right behind the main grandstands. Here kids and their parents and grandparents will find Llamaland (with goats and alpacas too), Millstone Farmâs Miniature Horses, several unusual breeds of horses and the Kids Teaching Kids Pony Care Program. Be sure to visit the Double-Bar-D petting zoo filled with formerly abandoned creatures that were rescued and saved by this wonderful, caring farm.
Kids under 12 are admitted free of charge and each is entitled to a complimentary pony ride, while mom, pop, sister, brother, grandma, grandpa and anyone else you want to bring along enjoy a day filled with fun and fantasy as the National Circus Project returns with hands-on activities for kids of all ages.
There will also be plate spinning, juggling, devil stick manipulation and a chance to watch as stilt-walkers and magicians entertain throughout the day.
The Hampton Classic Horse Show will run from Sunday, August 26, through Sunday, September 3. Call 1-631-5373177 for further information.
