Albert J. Cipolla
The death of Albert J. Cipolla, 64, of Kellogg Street, Brookfield, occurred at his home on July 23. He was the husband of Laurian J. âJudyâ (Walsh) Cipolla.
He was the brother of Billy Cipolla of Sandy Hook.
Born in Brookfield October 18, 1936, son of the late Frank and Tessie (Caperella) Cipolla, he attended Brookfield schools and Henry Abbott Technical School in Danbury and was a lifelong area resident.
His marriage to Judy took place December 17, 1955.
Mr Cipolla was a self-employed contractor and excelled in carpentry, electrical, and plumbing work. He operated his business for 45 years, semi-retired but never stopped working at trades he loved. He was well known for his compassion to those with financial hardships.
He was a member of St Marguerite Bourgeoys Church, Brookfield.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three children, Laurie T. Martin and husband, Robert, of Bethel, Todd A. Cipolla and his wife, Sharon, of Kent, and Elizabeth A. LaVia and husband John, of Sherman; two other brothers, Frank Cipolla of Brookfield and Dan Cipolla of Bridgewater; five sisters, Rose Priscintelli of Harrison, N.Y., Ginny Fotion of Ansonia, Frances LaPine of Danbury, Theresa Adams of Danbury, and Philomenia Kravarik of Brookfield; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St Marguerite Bourgeoys Church July 26 with the Rev Albert D. Audette, Jr, as celebrant. Interment was in Center Cemetery, New Milford.
