Theodore And Elizabeth Whippie

Celebrate 50th Anniversary

Theodore (Ted) and Elizabeth (Bethy) Whippie celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 22.

They celebrated with a party July 2 in Winchester, N.H., and another party on July 22 at their son’s home in Newtown.

The Whippies were longtime Newtown residents; they now reside in Winchester, N.H.

Mrs Whippie is a retired Newtown band teacher. Mr Whippie, a retired wood scientist, served many years on town land use boards. He was a scoutmaster and active in founding Cullen Youth Association.

They have five children and 15 grandchildren.
