‘Greetings From The Valley’

At Osborne Homestead

DERBY — Through September 30, an exhibit of historical postcards is being displayed at Osborne Homestead Museum. In “Greetings from the Valley,” a series of postcards highlights the commercial prosperity and scenic beauty of the valley at the turn of the last century.

In addition, a number of postcards depict important scenes relevant to the Osborne family. Arthur Bogen of Down to Earth LLC has selected many interesting pieces from his extensive postcard collection.

For more information call 203/922-7832. The Osborne Homestead Museum is open Tuesday and Thursday from 10 am to 3 pm; Saturday and Sunday, 10 am to 4 pm. Group tours can be arranged by contacting the museum. Donations are welcomed.

The Osborne Homestead Museum, operated by DEP’s Office of Communications and Education, is at 500 Hawthorne Avenue (Route 34) in Derby.
