Local photographer Jeff Campbell captured this image of C/2020 or Comet Neowise from Holcombe Hill Wildlife Preserve the evening of July 18, after receiving permission to be there from the Newtown Forest Association (NFA).

“I went there as it has a clear view of northwest sky and is the highest point in Newtown,” Campbell reported, adding that he went there with his wife, two children, and a puppy named Cookie.

The comet should be viewable at the northwest horizon, just after sunset, through at least July 26 — binoculars are suggested.
