Alcohol Charges

Police report they observed some suspicious activity in Sandy Hook Center about 7 pm July 17, after which they stopped motorist David Lewis, 19, of 34 Saw Mill Road for a motor vehicle violation on nearby Riverside Road.

Police said that after investigating, they issued Lewis an infraction ticket on a charge of possession of alcohol by a minor, and also made a police referral to the state Department of Motor Vehicles concerning Lewis’s possessing alcohol in a motor vehicle.

Warrant

After learning that police held a warrant for his arrest, Jared Bradley, 36, of 84-A Huntingtown Road turned himself in at the police station on the morning of July 21 and was charged with failure to appear in court, police said.

That charge stems from an earlier charge of failure to respond to an infraction, which originated in a January 14 incident in which Bradley received an infraction ticket on a littering violation, police said.

After posting $500 bail, Bradley was released for an August 4 appearance in Danbury Superior Court, according to police.
