Saxton Named Vice Commander

Boyd Saxton of the George A. Powell Senior Post 202 in Newtown has been elected to the second highest American Legion post, that of senior vice commander for the Department of Connecticut.

 The election took place at the recent American Legion convention in Hartford. Mr Saxton is a resident of Sandy Hook.

His primary responsibility in the new post will be maintaining and promoting the growth of membership.
