All roads will lead to the Goshen Fair Grounds on Friday, July 28, for the opening of the 33rd Annual Connecticut Agricultural Fair, at noon. During the day, Tara’s Thistle, the Bristol Old Tyme Fiddlers and Karacka Contest will provide entertainment. On Saturday, the gates will open at 8 am, with Shenandoah scheduled to perform at 5 and 8 pm. Others during the day will be the Family Magic Circus, the Swinging Steaks, and the Agrolympics contest. Gates close at 9 pm.

Sunday, gates open at 7 am, and close at 6 pm. Livingston Taylor will be on stage at 2 and 5 pm. The Torrington High School String Orchestra is to perform at 1 pm. Children’s rides and pedal tractor pulls will be on all day – watch for them.

On Tuesday, August 1, North Haven will have a picnic at 6:30 pm, place to be announced; Eureka “Collections and Hobbies.”

Wednesday, August 2, Kent program to be announced; Plymouth will hear about “Vacations.” Cheshire will go on a “mystery ride.”

On Thursday, August 3, Pokono will enjoy a program in charge of the CWA.

Friday, August 4, will find Indian River enjoying their annual picnic at the home of Helen Ripley at 6:30 pm; Oxford will hear about Summertime Fairs; Watertown will have an Agriculture program and a country store; Beacon Valley asks, “Who’s Knocking at the Door?” surprise Neighbors Night; Riverton will work on plans for their 20th Annual Fair on August 20.
