Art in Residence, a fine art gallery located within the home at 12 Lake Road in Newtown, will host a weekend opening reception for its next show, “Kaleidoscope.”

The public is invited to join hosts Rosemary and Robert Rau on Saturday and Sunday, July 26-27, from 1 to 6 pm each day, to enjoy “a feast for the eyes art show.”

The new collection offers generous portions of color, image and imagination on canvas by Lee Brownell, Susan McLaughlin, Karin Rannestad, Laura Wilk, Virginia Zif and Sergio Roberto Franco.

Make-your-own ice cream sundaes will add to the “delightful and delicious way to spend a summer afternoon,” promise the Raus.

“Kaleidoscope” will remain on view until September 7. It can be viewed by appointment.
