Bernadette N. Pavia

Bernadette N. (Sollecito) Pavia, of Oxford, beloved wife of Michael Pavia, Jr, died unexpectedly July 18 at Griffin Hospital in Derby.

Mrs Pavia was born in Bayshore, L.I., N.Y., a daughter of Raymond Sollecito of Southbury and the late Nancy (DiMaggio) Sollecito. She grew up in Long Island before moving to Connecticut in 1982. She was a hair stylist at Wildberries Hair Salon in Waterbury.

Besides her father, she leaves her devoted husband, Michael Pavia, Jr, of Oxford; her cherished son, Marcello Armondo Pavia of Oxford; beloved brother, John R. Sollecito and his wife JoAnne of Ronkonkoma, L.I., N.Y.; beloved sister, Denise Carey and her husband Thomas of Shirley, L.I., N.Y.; mother and father-in-law, Michael Pavia, Sr, and his wife Rose of Newtown; brothers-in-law, Anthony Pavia and his wife Susan of Newtown and John Pavia of Newtown and his fiancée Michelle; sister-in-law, Rita Pavia of Newtown; ten nieces and nephews; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 23, at 11 am in St Rose of Lima Church, 46 Church Hill Road in Newtown. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Route 25, in Newtown.

Calling hours were scheduled at the Spadaccino Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Route 111, in Monroe, on Thursday, July 22, from 4 to 8 pm.
