Local children enrolled in the Newtown Parks & Recreation summer day camp/child care program at Dickinson Memorial Park enjoyed an afternoon of fun on July 14, when a range of activities were underway.

At both locations for the day camp/child care program, Dickinson Memorial Park and Treadwell Memorial Park, children are participating in activities in groups of ten or fewer, with social distancing measures in place.

For July 14, sand volleyball was in full swing in one area of the park while Donna Vanwaalwijk, a representative of Hobby Quest, showed campers how to perform a trick with a ball and a base for it. After placing the ball in the base, removing it, and saying the magic word, the ball would appear to be replaced.
