To the Editor:

Mitch Bolinsky has demonstrated in several ways that he has the leadership, skills, and experience to represent Newtown and Sandy Hook, and he does so with vigor and compassion for his fellow constituents.

Mitch’s response to COVID-19 was immediate, and he worked tirelessly to field calls about the state’s broken unemployment system. As a direct result of Mitch’s efforts, many of our Newtown and Sandy Hook neighbors who were in need of unemployment assistance but caught up in the labyrinth of an aged/overwhelmed system were able to receive benefits, with much credit to Mitch, who worked closely with state officials to streamline the process.

Mitch has 11 bills that are ready to be reviewed once the legislative session resumes. Mitch has spearheaded increasing the availability of life-saving and life-preserving blood products and to requiring rear-seat seatbelt usage in all vehicles.

I write with firsthand knowledge of Mitch helping my family after COVID-19 and have found Mitch to be the one who can be counted on in times of crisis, as well as celebration.
