Gloria May Soderberg Aubin, 86, of Newtown died peacefully in her home July 16, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Bridgeport, to Daisy May Miller Soderberg and Arthur Grover Soderberg.

In addition to retiring from the State of Connecticut, Mrs Aubin was also a hairdresser, owning her own salon. She spent her life dedicated to the care and happiness of people, touching the lives of everyone she met in an unforgettable way.

She leaves behind her loving family to cherish her memory: her daughter, Deborah Lyn Aubin of Newtown; her son, Frederic Aubin, Jr, of Newtown; her grandchildren, Danielle Borges of Southbury, David, and Daniel Butz, and his wife Sarah, of Newtown; three loving great-grandchildren; her sister, Dale Soderberg Schremmer of Shelton; and her brother-in-law, Henry Aubin of Norwalk. Several nieces and nephews also survive Mrs Aubin. Her brother Arthur Soderberg, her sister Beverly Soderberg Cassin, her half-brothers Howard and Bob Soderberg, and half-sister Dorothy Soderberg Kanderack predeceased her, and she was the loving widow of Frederic E. Aubin. 

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
