Laurel & Steven Gelardi

Laurel Elizabeth Nosal and Steven Anthony Gelardi were married on Saturday, June 18, at Newtown Meeting House. Pastor Douglas Dry of Madison officiated the ceremony, which began at 3 pm. A reception followed at The Heritage Hotel in Southbury.

The bride is the daughter of Amy and Robert Nosal of Newtown. She was given into marriage by her parents.

Laurel found her wedding gown at Julie Allen Bridals in Newtown. Her flowers, and those of her attendants, were arranged by Floré Fine Flowers of Woodbury.

Her maid of honor was Aileen Nosal, who wore a J. Crew dress for the occasion. Bridesmaids were Sarah Hartlett of Beverly, Mass., Gena Gelardi of New Milford, and Rachel Albright of Shelton, who also wore J. Crew designs.

Samantha Ackley was the flower girl. Gavin DelVecchio was the ring bearer.

The groom is the son of Mary and Anthony Gelardi of New Milford.

His best man was Troy William Walket of New Milford. Groomsmen were Dan Lewis of Sherman, Matt Robben of Ann Arbor, Mich., and Justin Scuiletti of New Milford.

Mr Gelardi is a 2004 graduate of New Milford High School and a 2008 graduate of SUNY Maritime College, where he earned a US Coast Guard 3rd Assistant Engineer’s license. He is employed by General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton. He is also attending Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, pursuing a master’s of engineering in nuclear and mechanical engineering.

Mrs Gelardi graduated from Newtown High School in 2005, and from Western Connecticut State University in 2009 having earned a bachelor of business marketing.

The couple celebrated their marriage with a honeymoon in St Lucia. They have returned to their home in Niantic.
