Edward T. Fredericks, 67, of Oxford, formerly of Newtown, died Saturday, July 16, at his home. He was the beloved husband of Shirley (Kleine) Fredericks. Mr Fredericks was born in Hartford, May 1, 1944, son of Frances (Newman) and Arthur Fredericks. He was employed by Arrow Concrete in Milford.
Mr Fredericks had a love of tractors, cars, and trains, and continued to have a strong affinity for Newtown following the years he and his family had lived here.
âItâs where we all grew up, itâs our hometown,â daughter Bonnie Fredericks said this week.
In addition to his wife, daughter, and her companion Matt Zaloumis, of Oxford, Mr Fredericks leaves five sons, Edward, and his wife Beverly, of New Portland, Maine, William, and his wife Danielle, of Roxbury, Arthur of Canton, Carl, and his wife Kiersten, of Fultonville, N.Y., and Christopher of Oxford; a brother, Arthur of Derby; a sister, Karen Orcutt of Vinalhaven, Maine; ten grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated July 19 at St Thomas the Apostle Church in Oxford. Interment followed in Southford Cemetery. The Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home in Seymour was in charge of the arrangements.
