Sunday, September 3 â The Putnam Horse Council Family Hunter Pace will be held Sunday, September 3, from 9 am to 12 noon, at Putnam County Park (rain or shine) on Gipsy Trail Road in Carmel, New York. The course is six to seven miles long and includes fields, dirt roads, hills and trails. All jumps have go-arounds. Divisions will include Hunt, Pleasure, Junior and Western. Special prizes will be given for best costumed team, oldest horse and rider combination, and the âPeanutâ award to the youngest rider. Pace Rules
eApproved protective headgear (safety helmets) and suitable riding footwear (boot with heel) are required.
eAll paces have four divisions: Hunt, Pleasure or Hacking, Junior and Western.
eWestern teams must have at least one Western rider.
eJunior teams must have at least one Junior rider.
eAll paces will be held rain or shine.
eAll paces will have go-arounds for all fences.
ePaces will award ribbons from first through 10th place in each division and riders will accumulate points towards series awards.
