“On average, how many hours per day is the TV set on at your house?” Asked at Treadwell Park/Pool.

Ana Schriever with Sophia & Paul: “My husband and I watch one program each week for one hour. The children watch none, except for the occasional video from the library.”

Jodie Buccieri: “About eight. My son watches maybe two hours of morning shows. My husband has it on from around six till midnight.”

Annabelle Murray with Langley: “We work full-time, so about two hours. We’re outside a lot now. Langley watches some educational television.”

Flavia Silva: “The children are limited to one hour each day. One half-hour in the morning and one half-hour in the evening.”

Tommy Prophet: “It’s on probably 12 hours. There are five in the household. We all actually watch about eight hours.”

Mary Ellyn Lehner: “Maybe half an hour. We’re into reading. At night, the kids see a half-hour with their dad, a nature show, that sort of thing. I’m trying to promote literature.”
