To the Editor:

My fellow Newtown friends and neighbors, I ask you to support my good friend, Jeff Capeci, for First Selectman. Jeff has the knowledge, experience and commitment needed to lead Newtown.

The citizens of Newtown have put their trust in Jeff by electing him to the Legislative Council five times and to the Board of Selectmen twice. Not only did he serve on the Legislative Council, but his fellow council members valued his leadership skills and elected him as their chairman, not once, not twice, but three times.

In addition to his service in elected office, he was appointed to the Charter Revision Commission twice and each time his fellow commissioners sought his leadership as chairman.

Jeff Capeci has a long-standing record of serving our town, he is a respected leader and is dedicated to Newtown and those he serves.

On Tuesday, July 25th at 7:30 pm at the Edmond Town Hall Gymnasium, all registered Republicans are invited to take part in the Republican Caucus to endorse the candidate for First Selectman who will represent the party in the November 7th election.

There is no doubt that Jeff Capeci is the best candidate for Newtown and I ask you to join me at the caucus to cast a vote for Jeff.
