New Director Of Nursing Named

At Masonicare

Jacqueline Murillo, RN, has been named Director of Nursing for Masonicare at Newtown. She has been with the skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility on Toddy Hill Road since 2004, most recently serving as Clinical Nurse Manager. 

Ms Murillo was a recipient of the prestigious Nightingale Award for Excellence in Nursing in 2012.

In her new role, Ms Murillo will oversee the daily operations of the Nursing Services Department, providing managerial leadership and clinical direction to ensure that resident and patient care for both skilled nursing and rehabilitation is of the highest quality.

John Sweeney, Masonicare at Newtown’s administrator, said, “During her tenure with us, Jackie has made significant contributions on behalf of our residents and staff, and we look forward to working with her in this new role.” 

Ms Murillo is a graduate of Western Connecticut State University and the Bridgeport Hospital School of Nursing. She, her husband Luis, and their children Jocelyn, Anthony and Jonathan, reside in Middlebury.
