Boggs Hill DWI

Police said they received a report of a disabled automobile on Boggs Hill Road near Willow Brook Lane about 12:30 am on July 15.

Police said motorist Anthony Capossela, 20, of 54 Jeremiah Road had driven off the road, becoming stuck. Capossela was then attempting to get the disabled Chevrolet back on the road, police said.

Police said they gave Capossela field sobriety tests, which he failed. Police charged him with driving while intoxicated and making an improper turn.

After processing, police released Capossela for an August 1 appearance in Danbury Superior Court.

DWI Charge

Police report that while on patrol about 2:40 am on July 16, they spotted motorist Casey W. Michael, 24, of 2 Arrowhead Lane, Sandy Hook, leaving skid marks in Ricky’s Shopping Center on South Main Street.

Police said they stopped Michael and administered field sobriety tests, which Michael failed.

Police charged Michael with driving while intoxicated, possession of less than four ounces of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

After processing, police released Michael for a July 28 appearance in Danbury Superior Court.

Larceny Charges

Newtown police said they apprehended two New Milford residents July 18 in connection with the theft of an automobile from Waterbury and the theft of marker plates from New Milford.

Newtown police said they charged John A. Sherwood, 21, and Ivy Sailer, 17, each with third-degree larceny and interfering with police.

A third suspect is being sought in the case, police said.

Police said Sherwood and Sailer attempted to flee from them when police found them at Blue Colony Diner parking lot on Church Hill Road.

Sherwood and Sailer were scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court July 19 to answer the charges.
