Zoo-B-Q Country Barbeque Bash In Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT — Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo will hold a Zoo-B-Q Country Barbeque Bash featuring The Black Moon Band from 6 to 10 pm on Saturday, August 2. The party will be at the Zoo’s Peacock Pavilion and Plaza, or inside the Carousel Building if inclement weather.

For adults tired of pizza in front of the TV or another evening spent waiting for a table at a crowded restaurant, the Zoo-B-Q offers a fun night out where people can stroll around the zoo before and after dinner. High on The Hog Smokehouse Catering will be serving up a barbeque buffet of chicken and pulled pork, with cole slaw, potato salad, cornbread and dessert. There will be a cash bar featuring beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages. The event is open to adults age 21 and over.

Each guest will receive a free family pass to the zoo, and the first 200 people to arrive will receive a free bandana to match the rockin’ country and western theme of the evening. The Black Moon Band is an award-winning Top 40 Country Band that plays everything from Shania Twain and the Dixie Chicks to Vince Gill and Patsy Cline.
