SOUTHBURY â On Thursday, July 24, at 3 pm, at Pomperaug Woods, veteran filmmaker Gene Feldman will offer a presentation on the life and career of film star Gregory Peck. (Please note this is a new date for the program, which was originally planned for July 17.)
The screening of Mr Feldmanâs hour-length program, Gregory Peck: His Own Man, will be followed by a talk with the producer on his experience making the film and his off-camera experiences. Mr Feldman will then open the floor and welcome questions from the audience.
Gene Feldman has been writing, directing and producing films for over 30 years. He met his co-producer wife, Suzette Winter, in the course of filming a documentary in Australia â which explains the name of his company, Wombat Productions.
In addition to a wide variety of documentaries, TV programs and a feature film, Mr Feldman has made over 30 hour-length profiles of those luminaries of the good old days when a star really was a star. In the process, he has interviewed more than 450 actors, directors, producers, writers and agents.
His programs have premiered on PBS, HBO/Cinemax, A&E, TNT, Bravo and Lifetime and are shown on TV stations worldwide. They have won such accolades as the Cable Ace Award, Cine Gold Medals, American Film Festival Blue Ribbons, Chris Awards, Golden Eagle Awards, as well as being featured in Film Festivals around the world.
Mr Feldman was previously a producer/writer for the WNBC documentary series New York Illustrated and writer/director for the ABC childrenâs series Discovery.
