4-H Lists A Full Slate Of Summer Fairs

This summer, residents have the opportunity to enjoy six 4-H fairs around the state. In addition to learning more about the program and viewing projects completed by 4-H youth, attendees can enjoy the timelessness of fair activities, from rides, games, and carnival food to tractor pulling, canine Frisbee, sheep herding, pet parades, horse shows, and more.

4-H fairs provide participating youth ages 7–19 the opportunity to display and receive recognition for their various projects, from agility contests for goats to achievements in photography, arts and crafts, and much more. In addition, each year 4-H youth assist in organizing and operating the fair.

July 25–27: New London County 4-H Exposition, North Stonington Fair Grounds

August 1–2: Windham County 4-H Fair, Durham Fair Grounds

August 1–3: Middlesex/New Haven County 4-H Fair, Goshen Fair Grounds

August 8–10: Litchfield County 4-H Fair, Goshen Fair Grounds

August 8–10: Tolland County 4-H Fair, Tolland Agricultural Center

August 15–17: Hartford County 4-H Fair, Four Town Fair Grounds, Somers
