100 Percent Of Immaculate HS Graduates Continuing Their Education
DANBURY â For the first time in the history of Immaculate High School, 100 percent of this yearâs 94 graduates will pursue higher education at colleges and universities around the nation. An estimated 93 percent will be attending four-year schools, and more than 60 percent received grants and scholarships totaling awards of $3.2 million.
Ryan Patrick Kelley, a participant in Key Club, a social service-oriented organization, received the University of Hartford Alumni Grant. He will be attending Central Connecticut State University in New Britain this fall.
 Graduating with high honors from Immaculate, Bridget Homes also received the Outstanding Senior Award, Iona College Academic Excellence Scholarship, Fayette L Overholt Charitable Foundation Trust Scholarship, Bernard J Dolan, Sr, Memorial Scholarship, and the Immaculate High School Citizenship Award. A member of the National Honor Society, Bridget also won the Mary Wooster Chapter DAR Award and the Executive Board and Spiritual Life honors on behalf of her participation in Key Club. She will be attending Fordham University in Fordham, N.Y., this fall.
John Mascolo of Sandy Hook, who will be attending Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven this fall, also received a Fayette L. Overholt Charitable Foundation Trust Scholarship. Richard Plavnicky, also of Sandy Hook, will be attending Suffolk University this fall in Suffolk, Mass.
