Women’s Slo-Pitch

 

Walker Industrials 22, J&J Pool 0 and Walker Industrials 15, Huntington Homes 7: Walker moved to 6-0 on the season with recent wins over J&J Pools and Huntington Homes. Rose DeSimone in right center, Karen Corkum at first and Jessica Shivy at third were stand out defensive players.  Walker’s big hitters were Marsha Moskowitz, Diane Lawrence and Lisen Zaruba. Heads-up, aggressive base running continues to be an important factor in Walker’s success so far this year.

Hot Shots 14, JP Maguire 8: Other than one big inning by the opponent, JP Maguire had a good showing. There was strong defense by Renee Knapp, who executed two double plays. Suzanne Davenport was strong at first. The starting pitcher was Sally Socci. Offensively Mary Williams and Jen Torpey had a RBIs, while Becky Osborne had a triple.
