Sexual Assault Survivors Support

DANBURY — The Women’s Center of Greater Danbury is offering a support group for female survivors of sexual assault, including individuals who have been victims of unwanted, inappropriate touching, date or acquaintance rape, attempted or actual stranger rape, or marital or partner assault.

The group, Sexual Assault Survivors Self-Empowered, provides a safe environment for members to lessen the impact the assault has had on their lives, thereby enabling the healing to continue.

The group, facilitated by certified sexual assault counselors, will meet for eight weeks beginning in September. Call the women’s center, 731-5200, for more information or to register.
