The Newtown Parks and Recreation Age Group swim team won again this past week, blowing open a close meet and then holding on for a somewhat comfortable 234-203 win over Great Pond.

Seven different Newtown swimmers were double winners.

Alex Kron in the 8 and under boys division, William Macke in the 9 and 10 boys, Maggie Hemingway in the 9 and 10 girls, Kevin Cahalane in the 11 and 12 boys, Abby Atkinson in the 11 and 12 girls, Tim Lux in the 15 and 16 boys, and Melissa Rushefski in the 15 and 16 girls each won two events in leading Newtown to its fourth win.
