Ed Wolf graduated from the Rochester (N.Y.) Institute of Technology with a bachelor of science in computer engineering and a minor in management.

Christina Wolf graduated Cum Laude from Southern Connecticut State University, New Haven, with a bachelor of science in exercise science and a minor in school health.

Emily Snyder of Newtown and Jamie Marcucilli of Sandy Hook were named to the Dean’s List at Champlain College in Burlington, Vt. Being named to the Dean’s List requires a semester grade-point average of 3.5 or more as a full-time student.

Catherine A. O’Connor graduated from Elizabethtown College in Elizabethtown, Penn., on May 16 with a bachelor of science degree in biology/allied health.

Jina M. Willie, Michael V. Kennedy, and Robert C. Lapple of Newtown and Rachael A. Marlin of Sandy Hook were named to the Dean’s List at Western New England College, Springfield, Mass., for the spring semester of 2009. Students are named to the Dean’s List for achieving a semester grade point average of 3.3 or higher.

Joshua Muniz, son of Peter J. Muniz and Ivette Feliciano-Muniz, was named to the spring term 2009 Dean’s List at Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford.

Joanne Barry, Bridget Coughlin, Danielle Nicolosi, and Rachel Nicolosi of Newtown and Aadil Ansari, Shannon Kennedy, and Scott Whalley of Sandy Hook were named to the Dean’s List at Central Connecticut State University in New Britain. Dean’s List recognition is awarded each semester to undergraduate students who carry at least 12 academic credits and earn a 3.50 grade point average out of a possible 4.0.

Kyle Hufziger of Sandy Hook and Kathleen Murphy of Newtown were named to the Dean’s List in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Villanova University in Villanova, Penn., for the 2009 spring semester. To qualify for the Dean’s List in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, a student must be a matriculated full-time student and earn a semester grade point average of 3.5.

Zoë Rabinowitz, daughter of Lee Brownell and Robert Rabinowitz and a 2009 Newtown High School graduate, has enrolled for the fall 2009 admission at Rochester Institute of Technology. Zoë, who was the recipient of the RIT Presidential Scholarship, plans to major in mechanical engineering in RIT’s Kate Gleason College of Engineering.

Amanda Krause of Sandy Hook and Farley Miller and Shane McCarthy of Newtown were named to the spring 2009 Dean’s List at American University in Washington D.C. To earn Dean’s List credit at the university, students must obtain a 3.5 grade point average or more on their semester courses.
