Lorraine C. Orell
Lorraine C. Orell, 64, a resident of Wilton since 1963, died on July 10 at Norwalk Hospital. She was the wife of the late Frederick M. Orell.
She was the mother of Mimi Morin of Newtown.
Born on August 14, 1936, in Norwalk, she was the daughter of Beatrice (Brown) Connolly of Newtown, and the late Edward W. Connolly.
Mrs Orell was employed for a time by Union Trust Bank and then Sterling Answering Service, formerly of Wilton. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a receptionist at the School Sisters of Notre Dame in Wilton.
Mrs Orell was a devoted mother, grandmother, and an avid reader.
Survivors include her six other children, Jonathan F. Orell of Wilton, Jarl M. Orell of Redding, Allison Williges of Wellesley, Mass., Deidre OâBrien of Wilton, Tara Haug of Redding, and Marguerite Orell of Wilton; 12 grandchildren, Keira, Chelsea and Bethany Morin, Sean, Casey and Glenn OâBrien, Chris, Matt and Katie Williges, Madeline and Emily Haug, and Kyle Orell; one sister, Gail Schiron of Woodbury; and many beloved friends and extended family members.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on July 21, at 11 am in Sacred Heart Church, Georgetown. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Wilton.
There are no calling hours.
