'Late Nite Catechism' Is Returning
âLate Nite Catechismâ Is Returning
WATERBURY â Late Nite Catechism, the raucous, rollicking international and off-Broadway hit, is returning to Seven Angels Theatre for two long weekends of laughter.
Late Nite Catechism  is an uproarious piece of interactive theater that make the audience part of the hilarity and action. Sister, as portrayed and written by Maripat Donovan, brings the audience members back to the days of catechism class â where chewing gum leads to a quick scolding and slouching in your seat brings on a litany of instructions to assume the correct posture.
In the unique piece of theater Ms Donovan alternately addresses, placates, bullies and adores her audience with relish. The wild swings of mood, absurdity and instruction take audience with relish. The wild swings of mood, absurdity and instruction take the audience members on a ride that makes everyone nostalgic for parochial school, whether or not they attended a parochial school.
Seven Angels Theatre will present this international and off-Broadway hit that mixes the best of monologue, stand-up and improv on July 28 through August 6. Curtain is Friday and Saturday evenings at 8 pm, and Sunday afternoons at 3.
Tickets on Friday are $30, Saturday $35 and Sunday matinees $25. Call the box office at 203/757-4676 for more information.
