Morcone

Josephine (Paoletta) Morcone, 95, of Bridgeport, died on July 14 at St Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport.

Born in Castelfranco in Miscano, Province of Benevento, Italy, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Antoinetta Paoletta, and the widow of Joseph Morcone, Sr. She was a past member of the Castelfranco Society.

She is survived by a granddaughter, Victoria Cryder, and her husband, Jeffrey, of Newtown.

Survivors also include two sons, Rocco Morcone and his wife, Susan, of the Huntington section of Shelton, and Joseph Morcone and his wife, Virginia, of Fairfield; a daughter, Antoinette Aniello and her husband, Anthony, of Costa Mesa, Calif. She is also survived by six other grandchildren, Christopher Morcone of Fairfield, Joseph Aniello of Nashville, Tenn., Anthony Morcone and his wife, Sheila, of Weston, Fla., AnneMarie Guerrero and her husband, Daniel, of Costa Mesa, Calif., Michael Morcone and his wife, Anne, of Monroe, and MaryBeth Infante and her husband, Nick, of Chester, N.J.; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

 She was predeceased by two sisters, Concetta Lupariello and Lucy Scinto; and four brothers, Saverio, Emesto, Silvio and Alfredo Paoletta.

Funeral services took place on July 17 from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road in Trumbull, and in Holy Rosary Church, Bridgeport, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment followed in St Michael Chapel Mausoleum, Stratford.
