Mike Verrastro collected five hits and drove in six runs to lead Southbury Printing to a 34-2 win over Wild River in Newtown Sunday Slo-Pitch Softball League action.

Brian Aumueller added a four-hit, five-RBI game while Russ Hansen contributed four hits. Mike Douski belted a pair of homers while Aumueller and Greg Giroux each went yard once. The win boosted Southbury Printing’s record to 8-2, one game behind Hurd Construction in the South Division.

In the Newtown Women’s Slo-Pitch Softball League, the Fireside Inn and Special Ks sit atop the pack with identical 3-1 records.

They are followed by Davidson Insurance (2-0), Beeline Woodworking (2-1), 707 On Main (1-1), Curtis & Crandon (1-1), Amica (1-2), Newtown Exxon (1-2), Chartwells (0-2) and Sandy Hook Wine and Liquors (0-3).
