Kenny Lee Orchestra Tuesday—

Summer Concerts & Dances Continue

At The Homesteads At Newtown

The Homesteads at Newtown is presenting its 3rd Annual Summer Concert Series this season, with music for every taste. At most of these concerts, patrons will have the opportunity to dance to the beautiful music under the stars in The Homesteads’ lovely main courtyard (or in the dramatic Panoramic Dining Room in the event of rain).

Scrumptious refreshments and seating will be provided.

All performances are free and are on Tuesday evenings at 7 pm, rain or shine. The Homesteads’ summer lineup also includes dancing on July 20, August 3 and August 31.

The 2004 series will continue July 20 with a performance by The Kenny Lee Orchestra. The concert will offer tunes from the band’s repertoire of swinging Big Band tunes, rock music from the Fifties, and favorites of many musical eras.

The series will continue on August 3 with Clam Diggers Dixieland Band, followed on August 17 by the captivating, imaginative and unforgettable tuba-flute duo Double Play. These musicians offer “classical yet innovative music with an unexpected twist.”

The final concert will be by The Jeff McGill Quartet on August 31. This group offers the velvet virtuosity of pianist Jeff McGill with his incomparable ensemble.

Reservations are requested if possible; call 426-8118. The Homesteads at Newtown is at 166 Mt. Pleasant Road (Route 6), near I-84 Exit 9.
