Dr Bobowick Recognized By Best Doctors
WATERBURY â Sandy Hook resident A. Roger Bobowick, MD, a member of the Waterbury Hospital medical staff, was acknowledged recently as outstanding by his peers nationally by Best Doctors for 2004.
Dr Bobowick is a neurologist.
In all, 37 Waterbury Hospital physicians were recognized by Best Doctors, which commissions annual peer review surveys that contacts more than 35,000 doctors who were identified in previous surveys as the best in their specialties. Those doctors are asked, âIf you or your loved one needed a doctor in your specialty, to whom would you refer them?â Best Doctorsâ surveys are designed to mimic the informal, peer-peer referral process that doctors themselves use to determine appropriate specialists for individual cases. Connecticut Magazine surveys 1,900 doctors in nine specialties, covering nearly every town and city in the state. The results are added to a database of previous responses to create the current list. Fifteen members on the Waterbury Hospital medical staff were included.
âWe are honored to have so many of our Waterbury Hospital medical staff recognized in these surveys,â said Steven E. Schneider, MD, vice president for medical affairs. âIt is especially meaningful that these physicians were chosen by their own peers.â
