Anthony C. Cinquegrana
Anthony C. Cinquegrana, Sr, 70, of Londonderry, N.H., died July 3 in the Parkland Medical Center in Derry, N.H. He was the husband of Anne M. (Ruzzo) Cinquegrana.
Mr Cinquegrana was born in West Warwick on September 11, 1933, a son of the late Angelo and Antonia (Marsocci) Cinquegrana. He was a resident of Londonderry for 35 years, formerly living in West Warwick.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Mark A. Cinquegrana, and his wife Susan of Newtown and Anthony C. Cinquegrana, Jr, and his wife Anne of Candia, N.H.; three grandchildren, Maria, Mark, and Alycia; four sisters, Margaret Cinquegrana, Celia Dufault, Yola Lombardi, and Lena Mansour, all of West Warwick; three brothers, Constantino Cinquegrana of Orange, Louis Cinquegrana of Providence, and Frank Cinquegrana of California; and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Mary Parente and Connie Petrucci.
Mr Cinquegrana was educated in the West Warwick school system and graduated from Rivier College in Nashua, N.H.
He served in the United States Air Force and was a life member of the American Legion Post #27 in Londonderry.
Mr Cinquegrana began his career as an air traffic controller at Logan Airport in Boston, Mass., then transferred to Providence and Quonset. He was the chief air traffic controller at Brainerd which he started, and was the chief at Hanscomb Tower and Manchester, N.H. He retired from the Boston Air Traffic Control Center in Nashua.
He was a lifelong member of the Londonderry Lions Club and was honored with the Melvin Jones Award, which he received on July 1. He served on the Londonderry Planning Board for several years and was very active in town affairs and community service.
He was a communicant of St Markâs Church in Londonderry. While living in Rhode Island, he was active in scouting.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Thursday, July 8, at St Markâs Church in Londonderry, N.H.
