Coins For the Cure
Coins For the Cure
To the Editor:
Thank you Newtowners, for your donations to this yearâs âCoins For The Cure Campaign To Wipe Out Leukemia.â All of the monies collected are donated to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Fairfield County.
It is only with everyoneâs help and knowledge that a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, and other blood-related cancers will be found. Did you know that every five minutes in the United States someone is diagnosed with one of the blood-related cancers? Just think about that fact. Let us keep working to raise funds for research and spreading the warning symptoms of these diseases. Leukemia is the number one disease causing death for children under the age of 14. Let us hope that the cure will be found soon before another one of our children hears that diagnosis.
