Nick Rosa, 11, of Newtown captured first place in the 13-and-under age division at the annual Quonnie 4-Mile Run held in Quonochontaug, Rhode Island, on July 4. Nick ran the race in 31.20 and was 21st overall out of 80 runners. It was his third year running the race and he was followed by his grandfather, Bill Meyer of Newtown, who ran the race while pushing his twin granddaughters, Allison and Kristen Wales, in a stroller.
