Daniel E. (Buddy) Brogan, 84, of Bridgeport, died July 12 at Connecticut Hospice, Branford. He was the beloved husband of the late Eileen (Gill) Brogan.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Daniel T. and Donna Brogan of Newtown.
Born in Morris Plains, N.J., he was a Bridgeport resident for 64 years. Mr Brogan was an electrician with Remington Rand, retiring in 1979, a US Navy veteran serving during World War II and the Korean War, and past member of the Germania Schwaben Club.
He was also the devoted father of Kathleen E. Kentosh of Stratford. He was the cherished grandfather of Dawn (Kentosh) McCarty and husband, Matt, of Long Island. His pride and joy were Liam Patrick McCarty and Maggie Brogan McCarty, his great-grandchildren, who affectionately called him âPop-Pop.â He also leaves his devoted and caring health aide and friend, Nellie Silviera; and nieces and nephews and cousins. Mr Brogan was predeceased by his granddaughter, Dana Eileen Kentosh; son-in-law, Richard N. Kentosh; and his brother, Frank Brogan.
A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 20, at 10 am in St Andrew Church. Interment will be private in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
