Occupation: I just graduated from Pratt Institute. I have a summer job at SMART Camp, where I teach kids, kindergarten through sixth grade, fashion design. This year we are also adding creative writing. It's a lot of fun. I graduated with a degree in fashion design, but I want to be a writer for children's books.

Family: My mom works for a travel agency in Miami and works from home. My dad is a teacher at Newtown High School; he's the band director. My sister lives in New York City. She is a waitress who wants to be an actress - we all know that story. She also has a show on Youtube. The series is called Screen Crashers and the channel is called Timid Jester.

Pets: I have two dogs; Oscar is 6 and Theo is 3 or 4. They're both rescued. Breeds unknown. They bark all the time.

How long have you lived in Newtown? My whole life, so 23 years. We just moved two years ago from the Sandy Hook area to another house in Newtown.

What do you like to do in your free time? Write, draw, and eat. I just got a tablet display screen, so I'm doing digital illustrations now. It seems natural to me.

Do you have a favorite book? I want to say the Harry Potter series, but also A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett. It's really old; it's a classic. The movie of it was made in the 90s, and I loved it as a kid. I just read the book last summer. It makes you want to be the main character. It's a really adorable book.

Do you have a favorite travel destination? Last summer I went to Europe. I went to about four countries, and my favorite was Switzerland because of the Swiss Alps. It's very beautiful but expensive. I went with EF College Break, which is an online tour group and takes kids 18-28 years old. I flew alone. Then I met up with the group of roughly 40 kids. It's so much fun. It's a whirlwind of ten days. We went to a bunch of different countries and there was a lot of walking. I recommend it to anyone who has the time and means to do it. Even if you are alone, you'll make friends.

What is the best thing about Newtown? Dickinson Park is basically where I grew up. I went there every day. I remember being really upset when they were tearing down the jungle gyms. They made up for it, because it's really cool now. I'm not mad at them at all; I just wish they had the pool.

Who has been the greatest influence in your life? J.K. Rowling and Barbara Park, who wrote the Junie B. Jones series. I feel like with my writing I like to mix the two. Barbara Park's style is very childish and J.K. Rowling is very magical. I like to mix the quirkiness of a kid talking with the fantasy world.

If you could spend a day with anyone, who would you choose? The first person I can think of is Lady Gaga. I'm not going for fashion right now, but I still love it, and she was the reason I went into fashion. I would want to spend the day with her in the Haus of Gaga to see the inner workings of what is going on there.

Do you have a guilty pleasure? Watching the show Dance Moms. I've watched it from the very first episode since it first came out. People shame me for it. The show has been awful for the past couple years.
