Vineyards In The Backyard

Amy Nawrocki, a Newtown native, has teamed up with her husband, Eric D. Lehman, to write A History of Connecticut Wines, an insider’s guide to the state’s wineries. The book is part travel, part history, and guaranteed to provide ideas for plenty of great ways to spend a summer afternoon.

The couple will be on hand on Friday, July 22, in the Meeting Room of the C.H. Booth Library, from 6:30 to 8 pm, to talk about their book and adventures. They will explore the intricacies of the region’s local blend, and the people who craft and taste the wines.

Books will be available for purchase at the time of the talk for $20, and there will also be opportunity to sample some of the local wines and cheeses.
