Harkins Shines On Lacrosse Field

Casey Harkins, who recently moved from Newtown to Poolesville, MD was selected to the U13 All-Maryland Girls’ Lacrosse Team. This is a team of the top girls’ lacrosse players in the state. The girls recently competed in the US Lacrosse Festival in Raleigh, NC. The team had a perfect 5-0 record, defeating teams from Westchester, NY, Ohio, North Carolina, New Jersey, and Virginia. Harkins played defense and midfield and scored three goals in the tournament. She thanked all of the Newtown coaches who helped refine her game, including Coach Fletcher, Coach Feltch, Coach Bridges, and Coach Caporale.
