To the Editor:

Before any more time has elapsed I want to take a moment to thank the people who helped to make our recent Newtown Lions Club Clean-Up Day of our town’s Orchard Hill Nature Center such a success. We had a great day with fifteen Lions participating and a number of townsfolk pitching in as well. We cleared many invasive species, cleaned the trails, and got rid of brush and overhanging branches.

I would also very much like to thank Jeff Dymenski of Dunkin’ Donuts who sweetened our event and Linda Lenahan of Lenahan Land Clearing and Grinding who donated much-needed chips. They helped a lot in making our event so successful.
