My opinion on shooting bears.

There are usually a few solutions to a problem.

As regards bears, removing or isolating the bait (food) will deter them from visiting OR contact “animal control” to help you OR you can shoot the bear. Using a firearm to solve your problem and then being told by the State of CT/DEEP that shooting the bear was the correct solution sets a very dangerous precedent.

Shame on all involved with dropping charges against Officer Lawrence Clark.
