To the Editor:

It is refreshing to realize that there are still good, honest people in the world today. Thank you to the two friends, the person that found my bank card, and the Newtown Police!

On Sunday, July 10th, while running errands in the morning, I realized the Library book sale was in progress. It was time to add to the library for my grandson. Went to the Newtown Savings Bank ATM on Church Hill Road in order to have cash for the book sale. I did not realize at the time that my bank card was left in the machine.

While at the book sale, not 45 minutes later, two friends reached out to me by text that my bank card was at the Police Station. Apparently, my lost card was on Facebook. I finished my shopping and left to go to the Police Station.

Well, before I got to my car from the book sale, a Newtown Police Officer (sorry, forgot his name) called to let me know he was at my house with my bank card!

It takes a Village.
