Students of Sabrina's Encore Productions LLC (SEP) will offer two performances of the timeless Cole Porter musical Anything Goes on Friday and Saturday, July 22-23. The performances will be in the theater of Edmond Town Hall, 45 Main Street in Newtown. Curtain is 8 pm for both shows.

Anything Goes is a comedic love story filled with jaw dropping dance numbers and familiar tunes. "Easy to Love," "I'd Get a Kick Out of You" and the show's title song are among the tunes that may get audiences singing and dancing in the aisles.

The musical has been revised to accommodate a more contemporary audience, but still holds the energy of the original with its riveting storyline, memorable tunes and vivacious characters.

Playing the leading role of Reno Sweeney, the popular nightclub singer, is Julia Bogdanoff from Newtown.

Other leading roles include Joseph Verga of Newtown as Billy Crocker, Sara Rockmacher of Bethel as Hope Harcourt, Quinn Fitzgerald of Newtown as Moonface Martin, and Phoebe Doscher of Newtown as Erma. Additional cast members include performers from Newtown, Bethel, Brookfield, Monroe, Redding and Southbury.

A professional orchestra will accompany the players for both performances.

Tickets are $25 adults and $20 students and seniors for orchestra seating; $22 and $18, respectively, for balcony seating. Group discounts are available.

James And The Giant Peach, Jr

Also next weekend, younger students of SEP will offer performances of James and the Giant Peach Jr, based on Roald Dahl's children's book. Those performances are scheduled for Saturday, July 23, at 1 and 5 pm, also at Edmond Town Hall.

For this show, tickets are $18 adults and $12 students and seniors for balcony seating, and $15 and $20, respectively, for the orchestra.

Tickets for all shows can be reserved in advance by visiting sabrinasencoreproductions.com. They will also be available at the town hall's box office prior to each performance.
