Ticehurst
Donald I. Ticehurst died July 12 at his home on North Lakeshore Drive, Brookfield, at the age of 73. He was the husband of Christine (Messer) Ticehurst and the brother of Esther Shanley of Newtown.
Mr Ticehurst was born in Beacon, N.Y., July 23, 1926, son of the late William H. and Estella (White) Ticehurst. He moved to Bethel as a young boy and graduated from Bethel High, class of 1944. In July of 1944, he joined the Navy and served as 3rd Class Pharmacy Mate. He received the Asiatic Pacific Medal, the American Theater Medal and the Victory Medal.
Mr Ticehurst was a piano tuner and operated Bethel Piano Store in the 1960s. He retired in 1981. He was a member of St Paul Episcopal Church in Brookfield and sang in its choir. He also was a member of the Piano Technicians Guild.
Mr and Mrs Ticehurst celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this past June.
 Besides his wife and sister, he is survived by his sons, William J. and Robert G., both of Brookfield; his daughter, Linda A. Fairclough of New Milford; two grandsons, Jonathan and Jeffrey Ticehurst; two granddaughters, Dana Ticehurst and Amber Fairclough; another sister, Ruth Hatch of Brookfield; and several nieces and nephews. He is joined in eternal life with his brothers, Paul and Harold, and granddaughter Karla Christine Fairclough.
Memorial services were held at St Paul Church, on Route 25 in Brookfield, on July 15 with the Rev George Crocker, rector, officiating. Burial of the cremains took place on July 20 at the Memorial Garden of St Paul Church.

The Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, was in charge of arrangements.
