Patricia, affectionately known as Patsy or Pat, was born on March 18, 1947, in Stamford, CT. She graduated from J. M. Wright Technical School in Cosmetology. Soon after, she met the love of her life and they got married in Port Chester, NY. Together, they were blessed with three wonderful children. Although they initially spent only two years in Stamford, they went on to spend the next 43 years together in Newtown.

Pat will be remembered as a generous and dedicated mother, wife, grandmother, and a friend who loved her family more than anything. Her life revolved around her loving children and grandchildren, welcoming their regular visits and overnight stays. She took pride in encouraging and supporting their aspirations, dreams, and goals.

Pat's creativity was evident in various aspects of her life, from sewing clothes and curtains to oil painting and refurbishing furniture. Those led to bigger projects of renovating the homes they resided in, prior to building their forever home.

Most of all, everyone will remember Pat for her love of jewelry, her enjoyment and expertise as a Hair Stylist and Salon owner. Pat’s family appreciated her talent, and her clients became her life-long friends. Family dinners and holiday gatherings were an integral part of growing up in a Scappatura home. The moment you walked through the door, Pat would eagerly demand hugs and kisses before you could even set your things down.

Kindness radiated from her. Pat put heart and soul into everything that she did. She was assertive, quick-witted, and sassy. Her energy in maintaining connections with family and lifelong friends will always be remembered.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial and Celebration of Life on Monday, July 24, at 10:30 am at St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church in Newtown.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Newtown Volunteer Ambulance Corps, 6 Washington Square, Newtown, CT 06470. Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown is serving the family.
