Tour De Newtown

The Tour De Newtown will be offered again this summer. A four-race series ranging from 8-12 miles each, will take place August 4, 5, 11, and 12. The races are for fun, but will be competitive. All riders will receive a T-shirt and medals will be awarded for top finishers.

Don’t have a road bike? No problem. All bikes, such as mountain and hybrid, will be eligible. Riders must be at least 16 years of age and must follow all rules of the road at all time times.

Competitors will have a $25 fee which will be used for the T-shirt and as well as for donations to the Sandy Hook-based Golden Opportunities, a non-profit organization that was formed to improve the well-being of those who are isolated and lonely.
