UPDATE (11:40 am): Newtown Police Department has concluded a search for a local male who was sought for questioning since earlier this morning. The male has reportedly turned himself in at police headquarters.

Newtown Police Department is actively looking for a 19-year-old male in connection to what they are calling “an ongoing criminal investigation.”

The man was last seen this morning in the area of Charter Ridge and Old Mill Roads.

No additional information is available at this time.

The man is wearing gray or khaki colored shorts, a blue sleeveless T-shirt, and black socks. He is not wearing shoes.

In the photo that has been shared by the PD, the man in question appears to have a sizable tattoo on his left hand and wrist.

If you see him, call 911.

There is, according to a source, no danger to the public.

Police have been searching for the man since approximately 8:30 this morning. At least two K-9 teams have been called in to assist the local police officers, and a Newtown Volunteer Ambulance crew has been on standby to assist officers and the individual if needed.
